This is the full length trip report with natural sounds and in-the-wild commentary from a 3-day backpacking adventure that I took to Arizona’s Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge in March 2025. I hiked an off-trail route in the Growler Mountains located just north of Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.
