Living in Japan has given me a lot to be grateful for.
The peaceful walks, the safety, the culture, and the life I’ve built here with my wife and children are things I never take for granted. But lately, I’ve found myself thinking more and more about the future.
During this morning walk through my corner of Japan, I share some of the thoughts that have been on my mind—where we want to put down roots, what kind of future I want to build for my family, and how concerns about natural disasters have started influencing the way I think about long-term planning.
This video is an honest conversation about life, priorities, risk, and the reality that every place has strengths and weaknesses. Japan has given me so much, but like anyone raising a family, I want to make the best decisions I can with the information I have.
If you’ve ever thought about moving abroad, buying a home, raising a family, or making a major life decision, you may find some of these thoughts relatable.
For now, this is just one walk, one conversation, and one step in a much larger journey.
If you’d like to follow along as I continue exploring life in Japan, future relocation plans, family goals, and everything in between, I’d love to have you join me.
