1. Book your shuttle tickets in advance
Spots go fast, especially in peak season. Parking at Moraine Lake isn’t allowed for personal vehicles, so the shuttle is the easiest way to get there. Try to book a few days ahead and choose an early time slot for fewer crowds.
2. Get your car rental early
Rentals, especially SUVs and vans sell out quickly from mid-May to mid-September. Booking early also helps you lock in a better price.
3. Download offline maps + pack smart
There’s little to no service in the park, so download Google Maps offline beforehand. Bring layers (it gets cold even in summer), water, snacks, sunscreen, and any essentials you might need since options at the lake are limited.
