This was the day I departed Nagoya, continuing my journey eastward. Strangely, since my ultimate destination is Tokyo, I had naturally assumed I would maintain an eastward course. Yet, I learned that to reach a town called Chiryu, one must actually head south. It seems there are mountains blocking the path, making a southern detour before turning east the most efficient route. It was a day that etched yet another unforgettable memory into the story of this trip.
