September is always a little bittersweet for me. It’s my birthday month, which makes it one of my favorite times of the year, BUT it also means summer is coming to an end.
So for this month’s Monthly Favorites, I’m sharing the things I’ve been loving throughout September.
FAVORITE SCENT — Sniffs of Adventure: The Virgo
I’ve been burning The Virgo from Sniffs of Adventure all month because, I’m a Virgo baby! The company is a gay-owned business based in Provincetown, one of our favorite destinations, and this candle plays with all the classic Virgo characteristics — the good, the bad, and the VERY Virgo.
FAVORITE TECH ACCESSORIES
I have TWO this month.
First is my Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami Multicolor Phone Strap which I’ve talked about before. I actually use it as a shoulder strap on my bags instead of a traditional bag charm. I brought it with me to Malta because the colorful rainbow aesthetic felt especially appropriate for Malta Pride.
My second favorite is much less glamorous: a simple USB A – to – USB C cable
When I travel, this is one of the most useful things I pack because I inevitably need to charge something. And if I’m somewhere without the right adapter or outlet, I have a little travel hack: check behind the hotel TV. Many hotel TVs have USB ports, so I can plug the cable directly into the TV and get a slow charge when I’m running out of options. It’s not the fastest solution, but sometimes a slow charge is better than a dead phone.
FAVORITE TRAVEL DESTINATION — MALTA
We traveled to Malta for Malta Pride because after experiencing New York City Pride so many times, we wanted to see how Pride is celebrated outside of the United States. And Malta did not disappoint. It was welcoming, joyful, sentimental, respectful, hopeful and just super fun.
Beyond Pride, we fell in love with Malta’s food, history, architecture and incredibly well-preserved towns. One of my favorites was Mdina, the former capital of Malta and the filming location for King’s Landing in Game of Thrones.

FAVORITE FASHION ACCESSORIES
First is this cropped bodysuit from Gymshark. I’ve been feeling more comfortable experimenting with my body and personal style, and I love the combination of lightweight fabric, mesh and transparency. It’s a small way of playing with contrast while still feeling like myself.
Next are my Kith x Clarks fisherman sandals. These basically lived on my feet in Malta. They’re made with leather that felt comfortable right from day one, have great traction, and somehow manage to work everywhere from walking around town, heading to the beach or even dressing them up for dinner.
FAVORITE BAGS
Two bags made the September favorites list, and both came with me to Malta: MZ Wallace Waverly Shoulder Bag in maroon and the Radley London Noble Alley Bag
Both were perfect travel companions, but for very different reasons and I’ll talk more about why I chose them and how they worked with my Malta wardrobe in the video.
