Experience a rare walking tour of the abandoned Chitose-ro (千歳楼) ryokan complex in Jokoji (定光寺), one of Japan’s most notable forgotten sites.
This short 4K HDR walk explores the area of the former riverside inn — now partially collapsed, overgrown, and known locally for its ghost stories. Just 30 minutes from Nagoya Station, the area blends quiet mountain scenery with the remains of a long-deserted hotel.
Built in the Showa period, Chitose-ro once hosted travelers visiting nearby temples, the river valley, and local hot springs. After years of decline, much of the ryokan was abandoned, leaving empty corridors, damaged structures, and the atmosphere of a genuine haikyo (廃墟) spot.
