A dear friend’s mother had surgery, and everything went well.
I’m so relieved. You must have been scared. It must have been painful.
I imagine the worry had been building for a long time.
You did so well. Please rest slowly and gently at home.
I walked along Okawa River this morning, carrying those thoughts with me —
and thinking of my own parents, too.
Just a quiet walk. Just a peaceful morning in Osaka.
